The Supreme Congress has two Houses and Senate that work on behalf of the people of the Commonwealth to reform member nations, to make and adapt Commonwealth Law, to check and challenge the work of the Union Government, to cooperate on topics or objectives and to collaborate on issues as well as to debate the issues and topics of the day.
One of the main functions of the Supreme Congress is to examine and challenge the work of the union government (scrutiny) and this is done in the Commonwealth Senate.
The principal methods are questioning union government ministers, debating and the investigative work of committees. The union government can publicly respond to explain and justify policies and decisions.
