Duties of Member

The Member must follow the House Rules.

A Member has a direct duty of care towards the people of the member nation he represents and by extension a duty to the people of the Commonwealth and his fellow MCCs.

All MCCs collectively in an Assembly of the House are responsible to ensure the assembly is run in the public interest and according to the peoples’ will holding their best interest at heart.

A Member has a duty to act with reasonable care and skill. A Member must not hold any conflicting appointments or nominations.

Members are expected to adhere to high standards in their public life.
