Privileges of Member

In additions to the exercise of inherent powers and duties by an MCC as well as the relevant financial and reputational compensation he or she shall be granted the following privileges;

  1. the use in perpetuity of honorific style of The Honourable
  2. the use ex officio of the post-nominal letters of MCC (Member of Commonwealth Congress)
  3. immunity from persecution in the Commonwealth
  4. after 20 years of continued service are granted life peerage as Baron/Baroness of the Commonwealth, and after 40 years of continued service are granted hereditary peerage as Baron/Baroness of the Commonwealth
